About Me

I was born in Leningrad, USSR, and now live in the Midwest with my American husband and three sons. No longer Russian enough, never American enough. Sarcastic, insecure, often depressed, always behind. Love to read.

My taste in books is eclectic (my mother would say “appalling”) – I have been known to enjoy an occasional non-fiction book, but for the most part I read to escape reality, so there are a lot of fantasy, sci-fi, romance (esp. historical), and mystery books on my shelves.

Some day, I would like to be able to read Russian classics without shuddering (thanks for nothing, really bad Literature teacher in Leningrad’s School #52).
